The 5th TGW album, a culmination of 4 years of life since my father passed away, is a big one for me. Please read the excerpt below:


--- The Glow Within's prior release was titled "Orb Traveler". "Sandscapades" is essentially Orb Traveler II. It is half mystical, adventurous desert odyssey, and half delusional self-discovery. The protagonist goes on a metaphorical crusade, masked as checkpoints in an epic mental quest. His cynicism and then recklessness accompanied by regret fuel the transformation. Each progression is just a little bit further down the rabbit hole. By the time he starts to realize the signs and is unable to discern reality with images in his head, it is far too late. He finds himself trapped in loops, cycles, and repeated thought patterns, as everything he's built dissolves before his eyes. There is a huge societal disconnect.
His lack of forward progression furthers his alienation and the novelty of the experience, as he tries to sort through which of his memories are real, as opposed to being dreams or fabrications. Eventually, the only actions and reactions he can perform are based on the purest forms of vibrational resonance. ---

Hailing from San Rafael, CA, Supersonic Myst started writing music in a more serious fashion when he moved to Boston, MA in 2010. The first 2 TGW albums were completely written in Boston between 2010-2012.

Myst moved to Denver, CO in 2013 and teaches drums.

After 4 years since the prior release "Orb Traveler", "Sandscapades" was released 8-19-22.
